Workers' Compensation: For Employers

When an employee reports a work injury, please have him/her contact NBSIA's toll free workplace injury reporting service, Company Nurse, by calling 1-888-817-9282.

If the employee is unable to call, his/her supervisor may call on their behalf.

Company Nurse will provide triage advice and medical referral if necessary to one of our designated medical clinics.

Please forward immediately to the NBSIA Workers' Compensation Claims Department, any of the following documents you may receive:

·         Claim Forms, Applications, Notices of Hearing, Subpoenas, Medical Reports and any other documents relating to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.

·         Letters from attorneys or representatives of injured employees or from the State of California Employment Development Department.

·         Letters, telephone calls, or complaints from Union officials or others.

If you have any problems or questions regarding your role or regarding the handling of workers' compensation, please do not hesitate to call us.
