To celebrate the 2024 Olympics in Paris, Go Gold traces the international sports spectacle’s evolution — from ancient Greeks through modern day.

Track steps with your favorite device and experience progress by exploring 7 distinct eras of Olympic competition.

And you’re not limited to walking; activities like swimming, cycling, and rowing (100+) automatically convert to steps so everyone can be part of Go Gold.

Watch the 1-minute preview video to learn more.

How Does it work?

Earn colored medals for 6000+ steps. Don’t have a step tracker? No worries; just record exercise minutes and Go Gold will convert to steps for you.

Collect badges for things like logging activity on the weekend or completing the program evaluation.

What is the Goal?

Aim for 6000 steps a day (3 points bronze) if you’re starting out 8000 (4 points silver) if already active, or 10,000+ (5 points gold) to challenge yourself even more. See how many points you can collect.

Is there team Participation?

Yes! In this optional friendly competition, teams of 3-10 challenge each other to add up points (the group that averages the most tops the leaderboard). Plus weekly Thrive Thursday challenges can add bonus points. After registering, read How It Works on the Team page to learn more.

When Does the Program Start?

Registration opens Monday, April 15; you may begin recording physical activity starting Monday April 29. All teams must be formed by Monday, May 6. Though the team competition will end Sunday, May 26, you can update activity until the team scores freeze on Wednesday, May 29.

Who Can Participate?

All NBSIA members and their household. Whether you’re just beginning or an avid fitness enthusiast, Go Gold gives you simple, motivating tools to see your progress, providing instant feedback from your favorite tracking device or app.

Is there an Incentive?

Yes, member employees who complete the goal of the program will be entered into a drawing for a gift card. Also, the Member with the highest average number of points by the end of the program will be awarded the Perpetual Fitness Challenge Trophy (plaque). Members must have 10+ employees participating to be eligible.
